So I did the best I could do and reinstalled Test Drive Unlimited 2, which previously ran pretty slow on my computer before I had done a fresh install of Windows 10.
This game is seriously way better than I remembered, and makes me remember the good old TDU days. If you aren’t familiar with the title and dont want to drop $60 on Forza Horizon 3, you should seriously take a look
Expansive dirt roads to rip through in your lambo? Yes please
Not as pretty as FH3, but still damn pretty
Extensive car list and lots of pretty interiors and color options to play with
Should be noted that I am playing this with a force feedback wheel, and the game is pretty terrible with a gamepad. Part of the fun of an open world driving game is feeling like youre actually driving the cool cars.

I need a racewheel bad. I have RaceRoom on my laptop, but I play with a game pad. As far as feedback goes for a controller it’s surprisingly good, but no were near as good as a wheel of course.

I have assetto corsa, race 07, and both TDU installed and all are really fun with a wheel. Definitely get one, maybe just go used. I dont even mind non force feedback wheels that badly for arcade racers.

How did you get FFB to work? When I used my G27, I had nothing coming through the wheel at all. Also, the plastic surgery is easily the best part of the game.

I dont think force feedback is working, the setting just makes it harder to turn throughout.

I really want to see what happens to the TD franchise, hope Big Ben does a good job. But apparently their WRC games aren’t well received? I’ve never played them so I don’t know.

I think the series will sadly just die now that forza horizon is fully open world. I really want TDU3 with better graphics, the physics engine from TDU1, a shitload of cars, customization that is actual parts not just levels of acceleration speed and braking. Also just needs to be more stable on PC. THAT would be a great game

TDU1 was revolutionary during its time. There was just something magical about it that I can’t quite put my finger on. Perhaps it’s just nostalgia speaking.

I played hours of tdu1.
I was extremely disappointed with tdu2.
